Hi guys
I need to stack two switched SG300 in a site.
This done by a trunk with an UTP cable int the front? Will this work?
For example por 28 of the first connected to the port 28 of the second switch? Both trunk?

Hi,
Sorry this cannot be stacked this way, both switch's will still work independently. You will need stack cables in order to stack two switch's together to act as a stack/virtual switch.

But this switches are stackable like 3750 or 3560? I think thay aren't!
What I need is to connect both Switches by a UTP cable. Is not possible? The port that connected the 2 switches shoud be a trunk correct?

Hi,
Yes, not stackable they are built for small or home office purpose only. Trunk the two switch's together.

Hi ,
I have this port configured on both switches. It's ok?
I also have two provider links connected: 1 in first switch, backup in second switch.
Since this switches having spaning tree, do I need to do some other config on provider ports? both ports have same config..
But the pings , when the both provider links are up get messed UP.

Hi
Both SG300 are connected by Utp ( trunk)
If i disconnect the backup provider link everything is fine.
If I have the backup provider link port in shut we loose some pings.
If we connect backup provider link , guys from the provider say that they see a loop in the network...
Does the SG300 (spanning tree enable default) have the ability to only put the link up when the primary goes down?
Regards
