show available memory on 2911 router

Hello,

How do i calculate available memory on a cisco router.  I have did show memory but their is too much information.  I also did sh version and i can see that there is 256MB on the router.  How do i find out how much is in use and how much is available?

Cisco 1801 (MPC8500) processor (revision 0x400) with 236544K/25600K bytes of memory

236544 + 25600 = 262144 / 1024 = 256MB of ram in this router

NOT SURE WHAT I AM GETTING FROM THIS COMMAND

#show proc mem

Processor Pool Total: 183838804 Used:   72718844 Free: 111119960

     I/O Pool Total:   26214400 Used:   6247696 Free:   19966704

Total:   26214400  ----> 256 Mb

Used:   6247696   ----> 61 Mb

Hi Kevin,

Not sure if it's a typo but that should be 6 MB used. You can also alternatively use the show file system command on your router.
