  1. Standards:  OS1 or OS2.  OM1/2 or OM3/4. 
  2. How many strands/pairs vs how many strands/pairs terminated.

Hi,

If you are installing new Multimode fiber, you want to make sure you are installing OM5 if not OM4, as these are the latest and the greatest. For SM, it is pretty much OS2.

Perhaps also what's "better" for future bandwidth upgrades.  (Because cabling plant installation is often as much if not more expensive than optical module upgrades.)
