Ok, if you're using the router's CLI, is it via console or network VTY? If the former, what bps setting are you using? If the latter, what's the network topology between your PC and the router?

i'm taking Router's CLI via console via a USB to RS232 converter to USB at my pc, when i directly plugged in the console cable to DB-9 it works fine, i think there should be some slow conversion on USB Converter to PC!. im using PL2303 Prolific Driver on my pc for USB to RS232 Converter.
