Dear All,

We are following the SLR method to smart license our 9500 devices which are in stack in SVL configuration ( Devices are already registered for SLR method )

process Link is :---> https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst_slr/b-169-9000-series-SLR-cg/b-169-9000-series-SLR-cg_chapter_00.html

and following the below process

====================================================================================================================================================================

 Registering Stack Members with a Single Authorization File
In a stack configuration, a single authorization file can be used to register all members in the stack instead of registering each member separately.
To create a single authorization file, perform this procedure:
1> Download the authorization files of each member in the stack and save it locally.
2> Open any of the authorization file using a text editor. The following code is available:

Post the complete output to the command "sh license status".

currently as its not working we have revoked the licensed from the switches and removed them from the CSSM tool
Has anybody faced such issue while licensing using cisco-stack
we are getting the below error
"Reservation install file failed: Bad input parameter"

"Reservation install file failed: Bad input parameter"

If this is the only output provided then I can't provide any further assistance.

Details as below

name#license smart reservation install file tftp://<IP>/code.txt.txt
Reservation install file failed: Bad input parameter

name#show license summary
Smart Licensing is ENABLED
License Reservation is ENABLED

Post the complete output to the command "sh run | section call-home".
I suspect that Smart Licensing is not configured.

Hello,

SLR method is enabled "call-home" facility is enabled in the Online-method

==============================================================

name#show license summary
Smart Licensing is ENABLED <----------------*****
License Reservation is ENABLED <------------******

==============================================================

I am suspecting that the Auth-codes downloaded from the CSSM portal have some issues as the device is not accepting them. Same SLR procedure worked fine for our other 9200 devices or / SLR method in 9500-SVL configuration is not working..

Regards,

Ranjit
