Hi All
At present we use 3750X switches for our VM / Storage environment, these then have a 4 gig port channel back to a 6509e core.
The 3750X's don't seem to be up to the job and we need to replace these.
What top of rack switches should we replace with that can uplink to our 6509? potentially using 10G uplinks
Is the 4500X good enough for high traffic loads / storage etc, do they have big buffers? or do we need to look at Nexus etc
Many thanks
Carl

Carl,
For Storage, VM and Server connectivity you should look at the Nexus series. The 4500, 6500, 3750s are mainly used for campus environments. Have a look at the 9000 series.
