SPAN on NEXUS 5000

Hello,

I need to configure a SPAN monitor session on a N5K. Attached are two FEX 2148.

4 interfaces on the FEX should be source ports with both traffic directions (rx and tx) to monitor.

When I try to configure more then two Interfaces as source, I got the following error:

ERROR: Ethx/x/xxx: Only 2 tx SPAN sources allowed per system. NOTE: Default dir
ection is both

Anyone an idea?

Hi,

Thats a limitation if you read SPAN config guide. But I think with later codes you may be able to add more thought i have not checked it.
