Spanning-Tree Guard Root

Hi

I have problem with switch catalyst cisco 2960.

look at the picture below.

This is the system i want to build, but multicast traffic from System 1 dan 2 does not run.
I assume the problem coming from blocking state from switch system 1 and 2.

The requirement is not to change the configuration of the switch system 1 and 2.

This is the configuration of all the port of the switch.

switchport access VLan 50
switchport mode access
spanning-tree portfast
spanning-tree guard root

My goal is i want to get mulittcast traffic coming from both of system to my PC but always port change to blocking state

I assume the problem came from comment spanning-tree guard root so make the port to blocking state

Can you give advice to solve this problem?

Hi,

Not sure if this is an accurate picture, but no ports should be in blocking mode sine there is no physical loop. Also, I don't see any link connecting system 1 and 2 switches together.

Is this a correct picture of the network design?

Yes that's is a correct picture, I agree with you there is has no looping connection, but unfortunately the port turn to the blocking state.

I tried make simulation with Cisco paket tracer too, and also it happened.

Can you give me your advice
