Hi,
I have a few cisco 9K switches on rack in which all the switches are accessible through VTY and couldnt login through the console port. Putty is just throwing a black page while trying console login. I tried different cable and laptop, but still issue persists. I am able to logon on to the catalyst switches on the rack with the same cable and laptop. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

- (Also) : Upgrade PuTTY to the latest version (if applicable)
Try an alternative tool similar to PuTTY

Access one of those switches using vty, do show run, and post everything that appears for line con 0.

Hi, I tried a few things and doesn't know which one solved the issue. I tried a different emulator with my USB driver updated & also I did aaa authentication login console local again on the switches. Right now, i am able to access the switches locally.

Thanks for the update. I do not see how doing "aaa authentication login console local" could have any effect on "Putty is just throwing a black page". I do think that "different emulator with my USB driver updated" is likely the solution. Bottom line seems to be that now it is working for you.
