Hello Faisal,

you can connect the console ports of switch members to a terminal server to access them remotely.

Because the configuration file is only one and is created and managed by the stack master you cannot provide a per member IP address and non master switch members are likely to refuse telnet connection.

Hope to help

What is it you need to "check" on the other stack members via an IP address?  As a stack, all 3750s comprise one virtual device.  You can examine stats for individual stack members, as their ports are seen like a chassis line card.

It's possible, once you VTY to the stack, to open a session to individual stack members.

Hi,

thanks for your replay,

how can we open the session individually of stack member at vty and how to set individual management configuration.

Regards

Faisal

Hello Faisal,

you cannot open a vty session directly to a non master stack member.

As suggested by Joseph, after accessing the master you can connect  to a member switch accessing it indirectly.

A stack has to be considered a single device made of all the members this is true for traffic through the stackwise cables that form a dual ring and it is true for management purposes.

The master is the single point of stack-wide management. From the master, you configure:

System-level (global) features that apply to all members

Interface-level features for each member

Edit:

access from master of a member

You can access specific members by using the

session stack-member-number

privileged EXEC command.

Thanks Nawas and Giuseppe;

these articles are very useful for me.

You cannot user indivual session but you can use remote command on master switch to and do any show command on a stack member or members. See below

stackswitch#remote command ?

  <1-9>  Switch number

  all    All switches

stackswitch#remote command 2 show version
