We have 8 Cisco SG500-52P switches. We have 4 of them stacked in chain mode with Unit 1 the master, Unit 2 the backup and units 3 and 4 as slaves. My understanding is that the SG500 series will allow 8 switches to be stacked. However, when I try to add a 5th switch it starts the configuration and then all the LEDs light up and the system LED flashes amber. This happens with two different switches, both of which were factory reset prior to connecting them to the stack. The stack itself appears to be unaffected.
Do you have any idea what is happening and/or how to correct it?

I can create the stack using any of the 4 of the 8 switches, the problem occurs when I try to add the 5th switch.
