Dear all,

We are using a Catalyst 4503 as a core switch of our network and when we check the log we see the following message,

Dec 16 12:02:08: IP: s=178.6.10.1 (Vlan10), d=178.6.10.250, len 132, stop process pak for forus packet

We cannot find any explanation of this message. Can somebody help us to understood what does it means ?

Thanks a lot,

Marc

The "forus" packets are packets destined to the router itself and that are usally processed by the RP. In some cases, they might be processed by the LC if you run a distributed architecture platform.

Thanks,

Ahmed
