Straight cable

To extent my network i have connectected Cat6513 switch to HP L3 switch with straight cable..Its working..how?..Like devices cross cable rite?

switch to switch requires a crossover cable.

Most of the switches include the MDI/MDIX autodetect future on their ports, this will enable a switch to detect a staright or cross cable and tune itself accordingly.

this is called auto MDIX: the port auto detect the nature of the cable and make the necessary :-)

HP switches have this functionnality even for end level ones. 3com too.
