Stretching VLANs across an existing IP network

I manage the attached network. EIGRP is running between the core switches. I have a requirement to deploy stretched vlans between the core switches. My research seems to indicate the best way to do this is using L2TPv3. I have a 9404R as one core switch and a 9500 as a second core switch and two ISR either side of the Line of Side radio system.

My modern switches no longer seem to support L2TPv3 according to the Cisco Feature Navigator. Is there a newer feature that can suport this. I am struggling with the Cisco documentation around this issue.

My initial plan was to remove the routers and move the functionality to the core switches. However purely for logistical reasons removing the routers isn't currently an option.

Hi many thanks I got this working in a simulator (EVE-NG) this morning. HSRP between the core switches is working fine and I can ping the opposte interface. I attempted to expand by placing the cross connect on a Port-channel to allow resilience between the ISR and the local core switch. As in the real world the core switch are in stackwise virtual configuration. Again HSRP is working fine but now ping has stopped has working between the core switches. I can't see any restrictions on applying the xconnect on a Port-Channel.

Any advice greatfully received

The ISR support l2tpv3 and you can use it to across vlan.

If you decide to use ISR the  you need to add trunk between Core SW and ISR and use subinterface in ISR

What is exactly ISR model

Thanks

Hi
In my simulation it's the EVE-NG ISRv image. I have subsequently done some further work and by adding a couple of linux servers I can now get traffic across the xconnect when its connected to the Port-channel interface on the ISRV.
Many thanks for your assistance

You are so welcome

Have a nice day

See attached

The radio link's hand-offs are Ethernet?  Any limitations to using them, such as MTU?

What's the IOS version and license being used on the 4Ks?

Yes the radio links handoffs are ethernet and plug into the ISR router. I have now managed simulate a L2TPv3 tunnel solution on the ISR routers that connect to the radios with a port-channel from the router back to the Layer 3 switch. Thank you for your time
