Suggestion with selection of 10 Gig port on ASR 1002

Hello every one,

I am considering ASR 1002 as WAN router and WAVE 7541 as WAAS device.

I have to connect 7541 to 1002 on a 10 Gig port.

I  understand SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 can be used if the connectivity is LAN and  SPA-1X10GE-WL-V2 should be used if it LAN/WAN connectivity.

Can you please suggest if it is okay to use  SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 on ASR in this scenario since it is only LAN connection? Kindly suggest.

I have gone through these two data sheets, but it is not making much sense from this perspective, hence the request.

Hi,

That is correct. If you are connecting to your internal network, you should use SPA-1X10GE-L-V2.
