Sup led status is orange??

HI,

i have chassis 4507R with WS-X4516  sup , the status led of the sup is Orange

and this is the output?

what is the problem even the sup is working ok?

Hi Ahmad,

The orange light is for one of the power supplies.  Turn on the first one and the light should turn green

to quote the last speaker in this thread.

The yellow (amber) light it is for ps1 ie powersupply 1 who is busted or not operational.

check the powercable (both ends) so that it has not come loose and if you think you have redundant power know that you now do NOT have that and if it is not the powercable get a replacement if you do want to have redundancy.

if this is a powersupply faliure, then see it as you have dodget that bullet and get another spare powersupply.

Hi,

If the supervisor Status Led is in solid orange, it is because the system is booting up or the diagnostic test is in progress.

STATUS		Indicates the results of a series of self-tests.
	Green	All diagnostic tests passed.
	Red	A test failed.
	Orange	System boot or diagnostic test is in progress.
