%SW_VLAN-4-VTP_INVALID_DATABASE_DATA: VLAN manager received bad data of type device state: value 0 from vtp database

We have several 887-VAG with this error

they are running c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.157-3.M4a.bin

I see there was a bug https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvd23231 but it only affected 15.2

and the workaround was to make vtp trasparent.

it is already transparent on my switches.

Any ideas?

thanks,

george

It seems that setting the vtp mode to trasparent (although it showed already transparent) solved the problem.
the problem started after an upgrade to this version.

Hello,

set as transparent mode and return to serve mode and check if the alert persist.
