for the most part everything at auto works pretty well these days unless you have some old computer with a old nic then it could have problems . Hardcoding just makes a lot of extra work with a network of any size at all , besides nowadays with newer switches and nics you don't know if they are 100 or 1 gig .
Hi, First make sure all ur desktops can negotiate speed & duplex. If they do, configure speed & duplex AUTO on switches, if they dont support auto negotiation then configure speed as 100 & duplex as full.
