Hi everyone
I have a pair of stacked 3850 switches.
The stacked switches have two uplinks (Tengig1 /1/1 and Ten2 /1/4) in port-channel.
Port Te1 /1/1 fails to activate in port-channel.
The release used is cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.03a.SPA.bin
(install mode)
below the show interface Ten1 /1/1
swccopn0b2 # show interface te1 /1/1
TenGigabitEthernet1 /1/1 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)
Hardware is not present
Hardware is Ten Gigabit Ethernet, address is cc98.916b.9535 (bia cc98.916b.9535)
Description: sw-ccocore te1 / 0/25
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000000 Kbit / sec, DLY 10 usec,
reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
Keepalive not set
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input never, output never, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters never
Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size / max / drops / flushes); Total output drops: 0
Queuing strategy: fifo
Output queue: 0/40 (size / max)
5 minute input rate 0 bits / sec, 0 packets / sec
5 minute output rate 0 bits / sec, 0 packets / sec
0 packets input, 0 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 0 broadcasts (0 multicasts)
0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 watchdog, 0 multicast, 0 pause input
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
0 packets output, 0 bytes, 0 underruns
Output 0 broadcasts (0 multicasts)

0 unknown protocol drops
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier, 0 pause output

I've noted Hardware is not present but how I can solve it ?
Thanks in advance for any help

Hi all
I solved the problem.
looking better the uplink module (Uplink Module 1", DESCR: "2x1G 2x10G Uplink Module"),
I saw that there are four ports for each switch :
Gig1/1/1, Gig1/1/2, Gig/Ten1/1/3, Gig/Ten1/1/4
Gig2/1/1, Gig2/1/2, Gig/Ten2/1/3, Gig/Ten2/1/4
It seems that it is not possible to form a port-channel, mixing port Gig and Ten/Gig.
For example I did a port-channel with Gig1/1/1 and Gig2/1/1 or Gig/Ten1/1/4 or Gig/Ten2/1/4.
That's my experience
Anyway thank's at all and have a nice day

i am confused with the information, you mentioned one port ten 1/1/1 and ten 2/1/4
but as per your recent post, you provided gi 1/1/1 and ten 2/1/4
can you post
show switch
show interface status
is the SFP you using on uplink cisco brand or any other brand? what is the model of SFP?

Hi
swccopn0b2#show switch
Switch/Stack Mac Address : cc98.916b.9500 - Local Mac Address
Mac persistency wait time: 4 mins
H/W Current
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*1 Active cc98.916b.9500 14 V07 Ready
2 Standby cc98.9139.f100 13 V07 Ready
show interfaces status
Port Name Status Vlan Duplex Speed Type
Gi1/1/1 connected trunk full 1000 1000BaseSX SFP
Te2/1/4 sw-ccocore Te2/0/2 connected trunk full 1000 1000BaseSX SFP
Now I've not brand and sfp model, but as soon as possible I' complete these information.
Anyway I see that there is something wrong in fact interface 1/1/1 seems a Giga and not a Tengiga
Thank's
