Symantec backup is failing after changing the switch

Dear Team,

We have 6506 switch where Symantec backup exec and one server is connected. Server is sending the backup to Symantec backup exec server and everything is fine.

We installed 3850 switch and moved Server to this switch and backup is failing. If we connect back to 6506 backup is working fine. Backup is mainly failing in system state of the server.

Both the Servers are in same vlan.

Any suggestions?

Thank You,

Abhisar.

Hello

How are these servers connected?
Are they now both on the same switch ( 3850)

Dear Paul,

We tried connecting both on same switch, backups are failing. So I moved main backup server to 6506 as other servers are also sending backups to these servers and for testing one server now connected to 3850. They are in same vlan.

Server -- 3850 ----Portchannel---6506--Backup Server

Only backups are failing for system state, rest all applications are fine. I have opened the TAC case as well, we will have remote soon.

Any suggestions.

Thank You,

Abhisar.
