I’m a bit confused by the info I get from a Cisco switch and the info in the Data Sheets of the product.
What are the correct settings?
I looked at the temperature settings for WS-C3560CX-12PC-S device.
Data sheet info for this type of device
Operating temperature -5°C to +45°C
Info from the switch
#sh env temp status
System Temperature Value: 60 Degree Celsius (actual at this moment)
System Temperature State: GREEN
Yellow Threshold : 89 Degree Celsius
Red Threshold : 96 Degree Celsius
Findings
There is a contradiction between the values in the data sheets and the ones I can see on the switch.
What are correct values and best practices?

The values in the datasheet are ambient temperatures; what the device reports is read by an internal sensor (obviously in a warmer environment than outside).
