Hello, I have an issue with my 3750E switch. Due to the bootloader and ROMMON being locked, and the recovery password, I am unable to access the CLI environment. Is it possible to reset the password or preserve the configuration without deleting it?
When I hold down the Mode button and the switch is about to enter ROMMON, it asks whether I want to reset the configuration. If I select 'No,' the running config is lost and it asks for a new password. If I select 'Yes,' it will be erased. How can I preserve the configuration, as there are many routes and there's a risk of the network being down for a long time?

Thanks for the answer. Because Rammon and the bootloader are locked, it does not show the Ramon and Switch environment for typing commands. The first thing that comes up is the question of resetting the configuration. If I select the yes option, the configuration is cleared and the Switch environment comes up, the rest does not matter, and if i select the no option, the config loads and asks for a password. The previous person left the unit and did not deliver anything. The most important issue is to maintain and save the configuration.

This is a very common scenario when someone pushed out the door was not happy with the treatment. This is why I'm totally against the command to disable password-recovery because I've seen the effects when situation like these repeats itself over and over again.
Unfortunately, the when the command to disable password-recovery is used, any attempts to perform password-recovery will immediately erase the config.
