Thermal shutdown 4506-E SUP7L-E

Hi all,

Today I have a strange behaviour in one 4506-E with Supervisor SUP7L-E.

After it has been working for 10 hours more or less the switch power off without any clear reason the only thing that I find is this log in the show version:

MPC8572 CPU at 1.5GHz, Supervisor 7L-E
Last reset from Thermal Shutdown
2 Virtual Ethernet interfaces

What is the meaning of Thermal Shutdown?, temeprature or what?

Cisco devices will undergo a thermal-induced shutdown when the maximum operating temperature is exceeded. You might need to monitor temperature.

Thanks
