Throughput on a 1010 Firepower Device Able to Handle 1Gb Speeds?

Hello,

We are currently paying for 350Mbps and are noticing a lot of our issues surrounding speed on our applications related to internet speeds. The 1010 is rated for these speeds but I am only using one port on it - would it be possible to upgrade our internet to the 1gb speeds and have this device still be able to handle the packets?

Look at the performance matrix:

Hi,

According to the datasheet, 1010 is rated for up to 650 Mbps of firewall throughput. So, you should be able to upgrade the speed to at least 500Mbps and see if there is application performance improvement.

Are you currently using the entire 350 Mbps?

Do you have a matrix of the bandwidth usage? Is the connection saturated? The reason I ask is that if you don't see high bandwidth usage, the issue may not be the Internet speed.
