I hope someone can help me. I have 2 3750-x 24 port and a 3750-x 48 port POE in a stack. We have a number of servers and storage applainces on the 2 24 ports and clients and POE ip phones on the 48 port. All the phones are in Vlan 2, servers and storage in vlan 10 and 20 and clients in vlan 1.
Every few months all the phones connected to this switch lose connection to the rest of the network. The phone control gear is in a different part of the site. The rest of the IP phones on site dont have an issue. the phones get their IP address from our main domain controller. When the phones are rebooted, they cannont get an ip address. when i plug in my laptop to a phone port, i also dont get an ip address. The rest of the servers and pcs dont have an issue. if i give the laptop a static address, i cant ping any other device on the network.
This stack is connected back to a 4510 via 2 10gig etherchannel connection.
one time they came back up them selves but other times we have to reboot the stack to get going again.
how do we restrict a router interfaces from directly connected to Some vlans? can any one help me to figureout?the question is Router should not have interfaces directly connected to Vlan 30 and Vlan 40
