Hi,
I thought i would post here as I know people reply and get good answers!
Its HP ProCurve related.............I have a 5406zl and a 2510G, from the 2510G I have 2x 1Gb Copper Links connecting to the core, I want to create a trunk + lacp with these 2 connections, but when I input "trunk e23,e24 Trk2 LACP" on the core and place into the correct VLAN thats fine then.......
I input "trunk 45-48 Trk2 LACP" onto the 2510G - I cant ping the swich anymore!
I do a wr mem, reload switch but cant ping anything, im missing something here........
Am I doing anything wrong here?

Hi,
I have mentioned below a sample Lacp configuration between cisco device and HP procurve.
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/8 description test switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport trunk native vlan 60 switchport trunk allowed vlan 3-5,60,88,251 switchport mode trunk speed 1000 duplex full no cdp enable channel-group 10 mode active end switch(config-if)#sh run int g1/0/9 Building configuration... Current configuration : 304 bytes ! interface GigabitEthernet1/0/9 description RCDC-FS-CS18 [RC-B1-CR-7-D] (etherchannel) switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport trunk native vlan 60 switchport trunk allowed vlan 3-5,60,88,251 switchport mode trunk speed 1000 duplex full no cdp enable channel-group 10 mode active HP Procurve setup =================== interface F1 name "To RCDC-FS-C301 G1/0/8" lacp Passive exit interface F2 name "To RCDC-FS-C301 G1/0/9" lacp Passive
switch(config-if)#sh run int g1/0/8 Building configuration... Current configuration : 304 bytes !
++ A port in the passive mode cannot form an Ether Channel with another port that is also in the passive mode because neither port starts LACP negotiation.
++ Have we configured lacp mode as active either in the cisco side or in the HP side ?
Hope this helps
Thanks
Somu
