Trunk over EPL Connection

Hello,

At our main site, we have several VLANs configured using vtp to share them across the buildings at that campus.  We have a new site that is coming online that uses an EPL connection to connect the sites.  I have trunk ports set on both ends, with each side using a switch that is configured with the trunk going to a Siena router that was configured by our ISP.  At the remote site, I can ping internal resources, as well as resources on the internet, so the connection works, I just can't get vtp traffic to pass across.  I have checked the vtp password, added/deleted vlans on the vtp master (all the switches are clients at the remote site), and confirmed that they are on the same vtp domain.

Is there anything about an EPL connection that would prevent vtp traffic from going between the two sites?  Thanks.

Yes, EPLs often filter some frames. Sometimes the EPL provider can optionally stop filtering on some of these frames.
