Twin Gig converter- Mixing Copper and Fiber SFP

I have a 4900m and i am using the X2 twin gig converter modules.   Currently i use matching 1Gb ethernet SFP modules in each twin gig module. i.e.  I use either both 1 gig fiber or both 1 gig copper for ethernet.

I read through documentation and i can't find a reason why i shouldn't mix a 1 gig fiber SFP and a 1 gig copper SFP in the same x2 twin gig module.

Can anyone confirm that there is no issue in mixing fiber/copper SFP modules in an X2 twin gig converter?

thanks

Hi,

I have not seen any restrictions in terms of that so far, and as you said as far as I know there is no documentation about this. Have you tested this in a lab? Any particular reason why you would like to do this mix?

Regards,
