I am planning to add a second router to my network. I currently have a Cisco 841 which is running great no issues no down time solid.
My only issue with the 841 is that I can not VPN into my network remotely using 1. Native VPN client on Windows based computers. Windows 7 , Vista and XP. 2. Ipad's and Iphones also cannot VPN in. Only way to VPN is from the Cisco client on the Windows platform. No such app exists for the Ipad or Iphone.
So I am looking into getting a Cisco ASA5505 and add it to my network.
I could then remove the VPN services from my 841 and use the ASA5505 for all VPN traffic.
1. Would I need to have another static ip address?
2. Can I just forward all VPN traffic thru the 841 to the ASA5505?
