Two Config Files for password recovery

hi Team,

When i try to password recovery, i found that two config file (

private-config.text and config.text ). Which one i need to change .old file? and  which one is currently running-config file on the box?

I belive config.txt is the filename for the complete switch ( stack) and private config is the config file of standalone switch in the stack.

eventhough you dont have stacked ..i guess the file still exists in the flash

Hi Thu,

Rename the configuration file(Config.text) to config.text.old and then boot the system!

At the end u can change the file name to original name.
