Greetings! Let me start by saying I am NOT a network engineer, so I am just now learning how to configure VLANs on switches.
What I want to do is to set up two separate VLANs on a SG-200 switch that are totally isolated from each other, replacing two separate dumb switches. When the traffic is connected to the same switch without configuration, it seems there is packet collision. I am getting hung up on the web interface for the switch, assigning VLANs to different ports. I want 1-12 on VLAN 100, 13-24 on VLAN 200. I have the VLANs set up and am trying to assign them to ports, but not sure if I should use General, Access, or Trunk to accomplish my goal.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
