Hi, i have a big problem witch this configuration....Cattura.PNG

the port fa0/24 of both switches is in trunk mode and also the gi0/2 of the switch1 connected with the router. I used the encapsulation Dot1q. The problem is that the security network wont comunicate with the vlan inside and the other LAN. But the first LAN (the upper one) comunicate with everyone except the sec LAN... Thanks for your help.

I only added Vlan 6 to the main Switch. Add all vlans to all switches. I am sending you through email the PT. The security can ping all now.

Hello,

on the Fa0/24 interface of the second switch, add 'switchport mode trunk':

interface FastEthernet0/24

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode trunk

i forgot it, but it still doesn't work...

To be more precise this is what appen when i try to ping a pc of the upper LAN witch a pc of the second LAN...

Cattura1.PNGCattura2.PNGCattura3.PNGCattura4.PNG

i really donìt know what to do...

try adding the Vlan to an interface.
From what I know, if the vlan is not in an interface is considered down.
Also can you share the PT save so we can download it? :)

the extension of the save is not valid for attachment... i could send you it via email

fotiosmark@gmail.com

which version of PT do you use?

the version is 7.1.1

please sent the Enable Password :)

oh sorry, you're right admin1234

Hi, it is fixed. As I expected. All Vlans must be known to the sw3itches....
You had Vlan 1,2,3 to SW1 and 4,5,6 to SW2.
All switches must know the other vlan and an interface must exist to a vlan to be up and active.

I only added Vlan 6 to the main Switch. Add all vlans to all switches. I am sending you through email the PT. The security can ping all now.
