Hello,

looks like there is no file in your flash. Does your switch have an USB port ?

reply

There is no usb drive

Hello,

If the device don't have a usb you have to use TFTP server (using the tftpdnld ROMmon command recovery) in order to load a new image for the device.

Hello!

Do you know If the "boot system flash:" command is in your configuration? You have to in into the rommon mode to see If you have an image in your flash if don't so you have to load one using a usb (like Georg suggested you) or use a TFTP server (using the tftpdnld ROMmon command recovery).

Hi Diana,

Please advise from where can i download iOS for Catalyst 3560 PoE-48

This is for study purpose , and for my home lab

I'm unable to download from Cisco site, it says to update Profile, which i did and it goes in circles

Appreciate any assistance

Thanks

Raj

Hello @rajugeorge,

Unfortunately the only way you can download an IOS from Cisco is by having a device support contract attached to your CCO. If you want to use a specific IOS you need to have a device of that model under support with cisco, if it is just for study purpouses (you are making a virtual LAB) you can download the free images for GNS3 (but they don't have all devices models and versions), and test the feature you want to.

Hi Diana,

Thanks for your email, please advise how to figure out which iOS best suits
Catalyst 3560 series PoE 48

Im new to Cisco and i see there are many iOS versions for this model ,
such as ipbase , ipservices and ipadvservices

Which one should i be using, i would like to use all available features of
this hardware

Appreciate your cooperation

Thanks

Raju George

Hello @rajugeorge

In order to use all the features I recommend you to use ipadvservices which provides you with all the configuration suite for switching and routing features.
