unidirectional ping between vlans

Hi guys,

i have a problem with my vlans configuration. yesterday, i added a new subinterface in my server firewall in order to put there a new server. this new vlan has the same configuration as other ones associeted to old subinterfaces. But a strange behaviour was detected. from all others vlans i can ping the new server. But, the server is unable to communicate with others vlans.

To give you more details about the architecture:

-- I have two routing devices: the first one is the firewall witch permit the intervlan routing between the server's vlans.

-- A core switch (level 3) witch permit also the intervlan routing between all Vlan servers and other ones.

Thank you for help

Marwa

Hi,

if a Ping is working one direction (and no NAT involved), it should not be a routing issue.

FW rules missing/incorrect for the new VLAN, I guess?

BR,

Milan
