Upgrade Cisco 6807XL

 I will be upgrading a pair of Cisco 6807XL's running s2t54-adventerprisek9-mz.SPA.152-1.SY1a.bin ( which has been deferred by Cisco) to the latest stable code ( 15.1.2-SY9) for the Catalyst 6500 Sup 2T.  Both 6807's are in a VSS configuration with multiple Cisco 6800ia fex connect switches.  I'm looking for some guidance, procedures and any gothca's to be aware of for this upgrade as this will be my first upgrade with this product.

I've never worked with VSS or 6800ia, but be careful that going from 15.2.1-SY* to 15.1.2-SY* can cost you hardware and software features...  support for these modules, for example:
