Upgrade cisco C6807-XL

I would like to upgrade my Cisco  C6807-XL  Core Switch with IOS Version s2t54 Software (s2t54-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.2(1)SY0a, mention IOS is having BUG with SNMP and showing high CPU utilization, Cisco TAC recommended to upgrade the same.

 There is well known SNMP issue with the current version.

 You could upgrade the IOS or perform the workaround provided in the above link.

If you are using the 6800 Series Supervisor Engine 6T, the recommend IOS is 15.3.1-SY2.

Hello! The Cisco suggested IOS is 15.2.1-SY5 is the most stable version.

Hi,

Before you upgrade to any version, make sure to read all the release notes for any bug fixes and caveats. If you can't get them, ask Cisco TAC to provide it to you. Just because it is suggested by Cisco does not mean there are no bugs.

Completely agree with Reza.  Just because it's got a "star" doesn't mean it will work in your network. 

Read the Release Notes and pay close attention to the OPEN Caveats section and make the decision if the bugs listed will pose any significant risk(s) to your network.
