Upgrade Cisco L3 Switches to 48 Port or Add Additional 24-Port Switch

I have a couple of 24-port Cisco switches (L3) that I use for my servers. I'm running out of ports at this point and want to upgrade to the 48 port version of the below model.

WS-C3650-24TS
WS-C3650-48TS (48 Port Model)

How would I easily migrate the config of the primary and secondary switches to the 48-port switches?

Also, if I choose to simply add additional 24-port switches (same model) instead to gain the benefit of additional 24k IPv4 routing capabilities which I need, I'd appreciate if someone explains in laymen terms how to add this as a trunk. Current #2 switch is set up as trunk, not stacked (stacked does not allow full utilization of 24k IPv4 addresses per switch).

Thank you in advance

You can build a stack of 2 48 port new switches and connect the new stack to the old stack via a trunk port, configure the 48 port switches the same as the 24 ports and assuming the servers are connected via 2 links to the existing stack, move one link at a time to the new stack.  This should work fine as long as the servers are configured correctly to utilize multiple NICs to the switches.
