Hello:

Perform an upgrade to a pair of Nexus 5596 teams of 5.0.3.N2.1.bin version to version 5.2 (1) N1 (3) serving as the Advisory ID: cisco-sa-20130424-nxosmulti Cisco

And to reset the computer I see in the error console:

N5K% NOHMS-2-NOHMS_DIAG_ERROR: Module 1: Bootup diag detected major event: Forwarding ASIC failure: Ethernet1/21 Ethernet1/20 Ethernet1/17 Ethernet1/22 Ethernet1/18 Ethernet1/23 Ethernet1/19 Ethernet1/24

I check the ports and I see the following:

1 eth fabric down Eth1/17 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

1 eth access down Eth1/18 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

1 eth fabric down Eth1/19 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

1 eth fabric down Eth1/20 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

1 eth fabric down Eth1/21 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

1 eth fabric down Eth1/22 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

1 eth fabric down Eth1/23 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

1 eth fabric down Eth1/24 Hardware failure 10G (D) -

These ports were occupying the FEX-FABRIC mode and are the only ones affected.

The question that arises is whether this upgrade could somehow affect the ASIC of these 8 ports?????

Thank you for your contributions

Regards,
