Upgrading IOS on 3548 XL switch

Hi all,

I need to upgrde ios on this switch.

i have installed new IOS  version on my laptop.

Now in order to remove old ios and upgrade to new ios i can run the command

copy tftp to flash?

please let me know

If you have enough flash for both don't delete the old version.

In orde to copy the IOS into the switch type:

#copy tftp://IP_laptop/file.bin flash:

Once copied configure the switch loads with the new IOS when it boots:

#conf t

#boot system file.bin

#reload

Yes, copy the image to flash and then

switch(config)# boot system flash flash:
