VLAN Communication issue?

MDF- Stack of Cisco 2960xr connected to IDF4 via TE 2/0/1

IDF4- Stack of Cisco 2960x connected to MDF via TE1/0/2

1 Fiber 10G Link Between MDF and IDF4

Our guest vlan was not working from any access point connected to IDF4. I could ping MDF Switch stack on its guest vlan IP but could not ping any other address.

I ended up moving the transceiver to TE2/0/2 on The MDF stack and the network returned to normal function.  The port config for TE2/0/1 and TE2/0/2 was exactly the same.

How can I figure out why the guest vlan was not able to communicate on port TE2/0/1?

You need to post the config of TE 1 and 2 for us to review, I am sure you mentioned both are same - then it should work as expected.
