Vlan ID Translation - Vlan Mapping

Hi all,

I'm having issue in configuring Vlan-to-Vlan mapping.

I'd like to "masking" a Vlan ID "X" in Vlan "Y" for transporting it, using a Layer 2 Trunk starting from a 6500 IOS Switch, to another switch (6500 CatOS)

I used command found on Cisco docs and put them only to the first switch (6500 IOS).

Does anybody know if I must put other IOS command to the second one?

This example shows how to map another VLAN to an existing VLAN group name:

Console> (enable) set dot1x vlan-group engg-dept 4

Vlan 4 is successfully mapped to vlan group engg-group.

I think that the command should be given on the second awitch also with the vlan id of the first switch.
