VLANs: how many Subnets vs. VLANS

Hello

I'm new to VLANs, and have some questions:

  1. On my RV215 I can define 4 VLANs. But what is the relation between the VLANs (3,4,5,6) and the root LAN (tagged with 1)?
  2. After having created 4 VLANs, 192.168.178.0, 192.168.180.0 (ID 3), 192.168.181.0 (Id 4), 192.168.182.0 (Id 5), 192.168.183.0 (Id 6).
    1. ... do I now have 4 or 5 "Networks"? Can I address ..178, ..180, ..181, ..182, ..183 appliances completely as in their own network (with IDs, 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6), or is there something special on the ..178 addresses, I have to consider?
    2. For the RV215, it is said, I can define 4 VLANs. Is the default tagged network (ID 1) included in the 4 (so I can add only 3 additional ones IDs 3,4,5 in my case), or is it in addition to four extra tagged ones (ID 3 .. 6 in my example above)?
  3. Am I right?
    1. Untagged ports means, that the tag is removed before connecting a VLAN to that port. As consequence I should only connect one untagged VLAN to that port?
    2. I should avoid assigning any VLAN to more than one port, if the manged switch is not configured to keep them separated afterwards?
    3. But I can assign more than one tagged VLAN to the same port?
    4. What do i best enter as DNS for each network? Should I use "DNS Proxy"? Or is it better to use the "Local IP Address"?
