Hi
Q-1 what is native vlan
As normal the traffic between 2 switches is tagged adding the respective vlan. Now, by default the vlan 1 is the native vlan for a switch, as good security practice you should disable the vlan 1 (through the interface vlan 1 / shutdown). Once I read the native vlan was created initially in order to mitigate compatibility problems with switches. The frames untagged over a trunk are assigned to the native vlan. The native vlan must not be configured under access ports.
Q-2 what are the benefit of native vlan
All the vlans will be tagged
There will not have leaking of information.
Q-3 What is different between Vlan 1 and native vlan
As it was mentioned previously the vlan 1 is the default vlan on the switches, it cannot be removed but it can be disabled, now the vlan 1 is used by default for: native vlan, cdp, vtp and others task. So by security purposes the vlan 1 is not good idea to be used. The Native vlan can be any vlan but it should not be used under access ports, just under trunk interfaces.
