Hello,
We are planning to implementing VXLANs with NSX with Cisco nexus hardware.
On the documentation of Cisco Line Cards the ones we have (F2) does not support VXLANs.
Does anyone know if Cisco VXLAN is the same as NSX VXLAN or this is different technology with the same name?
Can i use NSX VXLAN where VXLAN is not supported on the hardware?
Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,
Cisco VXLAN is not the same as NSX VXLAN. NSX VXLAN is developed by WMware vs Cisco VXLAN is developed by Cisco and is somewhat proprietary and works on Cisco hardware.
Here are a couple of links about Cisco platforms and NSX and also the difference and similarities between the 2 technologies.
