VPDN protocol ppoe on cisco 2811 iso

Hi dears

I want to configurate Vpdn protocol PPOE but i can not write protocol  ppoe under vpdn group name on cisco 2811. cisco 2811 iso is 12.4 T advententerpr and i upgrade it 15.1 advansecure but problem is still. i think that problem is ios. which ios i must be upgrade??

please help .

Hi Teymour,

Under the new IOS's you dont need to use vpdn to support the pppoe clients. simply use enable command under the interface:

pppoe-client dial-poo-number

you should also look into bba-group configurations should you require more sessions.

i understand that when i use 15.1 advansec ios i do not need vpdn i just write

pppoe-client dial-poo-number under the interface.

can you say me which old iso of  2811 is support pppoe protocol at vpdn?

i do not want to use bba-group.

you will not need the vpdn-group or vpdn enable commands. You will simply use the interface pppoe-client dial pool command.
