Hi guys,
I stuck with issue where I am receiving vpn route from another AS via Option B connection but it's not advertised to another AS via Option B as well - both connections to different ASs are on same ASR9K
It's looks like
AS1 <Option B> AS2(ASR) <Option B> AS3
I can see route from AS1 on AS2 but when I am checking if it is send to AS3 it doesn't seems to be
is there any "future" that prevent this to happen ?
Regards,
Marcin

Hi
Marcin, are you interconnecting 3 ISP?

Hi Julio,
Kind of
one company acquired another and then third one the first one :-)

Thank you for reply, do you have control over the PEs to share the config probably the packets are not being tagged in somewhere?

Hello,
on a side note, and in addition to Julio's comments, do you have Lite or RFC 3107 configured ?
Post the configs of your three routers, so we can lab this and check if you are missing something...

Hi Georg,
It wan't be possible for me to share config I am afraid - I can only add that
option B between B and C looks like on ASR
address-family vpnv4 unicast
route-policy Pass-all in
route-policy Pass-all out
next-hop-self
soft-reconfiguration inbound always
where looks like
route-policy Pass-all
pass
end-policy
so all vpn prefixes should be send to C and this is a case for prefixes advertised from B to C but not from A to C via B if this make a sense

Marcin

On the ASR, you could verify:
- Static route with the BGP peering
- if retaing route-target all is configured under the BGP process

Hi Julio,
Yes we have under BGP
address-family vpnv4 unicast
retain route-target all
and also static entry
if i do on ASR(AS-B) (where x.x.x.x is subnet received from AS-A)
show bgp vpnv4 unicast rd x.x.x.x:yyy advertised
i can see that subnet is advertised to RR but not to AS-C
whilst other subnet originated in AS-B are advertised to RR and AS-C
so it's only one from A that is not advertised to C
Hope this make sense
Regards,
Marcin
