Hello,

Can you cinfirm whether both devices are l2 adjacent or not ? vrrp is layer-2 protocol and it is required that both devices

are directly connected so that l2 adjacency is formed.

Regards

mahesh

Hi,

It is connected. Actually there are two vlans that has this state, but the rest of my vlans are ok.

Regards

Hello,

Thanks for clarification.

can you do one practice

> shutdown vrrp on interface with vrrp shutdown command and see the status

> If problem still exist can you try recreating by removing vlan and reconfigure all stuff.

Regards

mahesh

Hi,

as you are uisng VLAN2111, are you sure your LAN is supporting the Extended VLAN range?

See "Configuring Extended-Range VLANs" in

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2950/software/release/12.1_9_ea1/configuration/guide/swvlan.html#wp1200242

or http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2950/software/release/12.1_9_ea1/configuration/guide/swvlan.pdf  .

Are you able to Ping from one int VLAN2111 to the  int VLAN2111 IP address on the other router?

HTH,

Milan

How about pinging each other ?

Can they ?

Tell us if show mac-address-.. shows that the two interfaces see each other via the desired link.

Also check the arp records for the two IPs

You should see on each switch the other swich's MAC address for the VRRP int in question, being learnt via the link mentioned above.

In other words make sure the L2 connectivity is there as needed.
