VSL on TE Module

Hi,

I am trying to configure VSL links on SUP of 6509.

I am planning to configure

SW1 SUP to SW2 Line card

SW1 Line card to SW2 SUP

The SW2 is going to recovery mode.

Are you using Sup-720-VS?

Simply connect the Sup from sw1 to Sup in sw2 and the same for line card.

Post your VSS and Etherchannel configs from both switches

My intention was for sup level redundancy,

If one sup fails will standby sup will able to handle other 16 link cards?

Hi,

In current VSS deployment, when the primary Sup fails the stand-by switch will take over. 

Remember when the sup fails the entire switch is out of commotion including the line cards.  The second sup will take care of the line card in that switch and not the first one.
