VSS - 2 6509s and I cannot see any MAC addresses on 2nd switch

I guess the subject says it all. We just installed two new 6509s with VSS running and on the second switch (standby), there are no MAC addresses. There are servers plugged into the 2nd switch and some of those are a single NIC. So, why on those ports wouldn't I see a MAC address.

Is there a command that is needed to make those visible? What has me puzzled is that all the servers on switch two operate just fine.

Hi Flip,

What command are you trying? You may some thing like following :

show mac-address-table dynamic interface

OR

show mac-address-table dynamic switch <1|2> module

thanks,

rahul.

Flip,

The 2 6509 work as one logical switch.  If VSS is working correctly, you should not even have access to the 2nd switch (stand-by).
