if your trying to make one of the switches more preferred you need to alter the priority in switch domain section this will cause a failover , if you need to do it on the non active switch you can access it like below by sending remote command or login in and change it on standby switch

xxxxxxxx#remote ?
command Remote command execution
login Remote console loginstan

remote login standby

switch virtual domain 100
switch mode virtual
switch 1 priority 200
mac-address use-virtual

Thank you, Mark Malone
Warning: rommon NVRAM area is corrupted. Initialize the area to default values
Cat6-SUP720/RP

rommon 1> confreg 0x2142

rommon 2> reload
After doing this, I can boot normally.
How can I check whether NVRAM is got any problem in REMOTE 1(SW)
Thanks

LOGIN REMOTELY USING COMMAND BELOW FROM ACTIVE SWITCH AND RUN DIR NVRAM: , SEE WHAT IT RETURNS , IT WINT BE ON TACACS AS ITS THE STANDBY IF THATS IN PLACE YOU WILL NEED TO USE THE LOCAL AUTHENTICATION PASSWORDS

xxxxxxxx#remote login standby
Trying Switch ...
Entering CONSOLE for Switch
Type "^C^C^C" to end this session

Hi,

if you want to force a "switchover" on a VSS  you can also configure the command "redundancy force-switchover" on the active switch which causes the active device to switch with the standby immediately. If you change the priorities, bear in mind that it will not cause a preemptive effect on the role status of the two machines, you should restart the device in order for the command to take effect.
